The light rays coming into the eyes are supposed to converge at a particular point on retina. However in myopia they start converging much ahead of retina, as a result of which the person has blurred vision of distant objects but clear vision of near objects.

Causes

Hereditory factor
Improper diet and nutrition
Excessive use of the eyes,
reading in dim light,
excessive use of computers, mobiles and other electronic object,
lack of eye exercises

Symptoms
  • Headache and eye strain.
  • Blurred distant vision.
  • Feeling exhausted while playing sport or driving.
  • Squinting of eye.
Ayurvedic Perception-
  • According to ayurveda,Alochak pitta is resposible for vision. Vitiation of this pitta causes vision problems. Above mentioned reasons causes vitiation of vata dosha. This vitiated vata  weakens the structures in eyes. Due to lack of proper diet, alochak pitta and dhatus (tissues) in eyes get unnourishment and therfore fail to perform their functions properly. Improper food, hampered digestion etc may produce toxins which can block the channels and cause malnourishmment of optic tissues, leading to problem called as Myopia.

Spondylitis Treatment Nagpur

Spondylitis is a term used to describe a group of arthritis-based spine conditions that cause inflammation in the vertebrae and sometimes joints of the spine. Spondylitis generally occurs in the lowest section of the lumbar spine — the sacroiliac joint that connects the pelvis to the spine. One of the most common forms of spondylitis found in the SI joint is ankylosing spondylitis.
Patients diagnosed with spondylitis may experience a range of symptoms, including immobility of the spine, decreased the range of motion, chronic pain, and deformed spine curvature. If you suspect you have spondylitis, consult your physician and plan to discuss your symptoms and undergo spinal tests to determine the cause of your pain.

Causes of Lumbar Spondylitis

There is no known cause for the development of spondylitis. Currently, spondylitis is considered a rare disease. While there are no known causes of spondylitis, researchers have determined several risk factors that could contribute to an individual’s development of this condition:
  • Genetic — About 90 percent of people with spondylitis have a specific gene, HLA-B27. Individuals with this gene are at a greater risk for developing spondylitis. Physicians have blood tests to determine whether or not you are a carrier of the HLA-B27 gene.
  • Age — Most people with spondylitis developed the spine condition between the ages of 17 — 45. Researchers have no conclusion why this condition is present in young adults more than the older population, but research trends show that age plays a factor in an individual’s risk of developing this condition.
  • Gender — Males develop Spondylitis much more frequently than females.
Genetics seem to play the most important role in determining whether or not an individual will develop spondylitis. If you have a family member who has been diagnosed with spondylitis, and you are experiencing the aforementioned symptoms, schedule an appointment with your physician to determine the cause of your pain.

Spondilities Treatment Nagpur

Diagnosis

Diagnosis of lumbar spondylosis consists of a physical examination, neurological examination (to assess sensation and motor function), imaging studies (such as x-rays, CT scan, or MRI).
X-ray studies demonstrate much of the characteristic appearance of spondylosis narrowing of the intervebral disc space and the neural foramina (bony canals by which the spinal nerves exit the vertebral column). Also visible is the presence of osteoarthritis and the formation of osteophytes (small bone spurs) on areas of the vertebrae adjacent to the discs and in the area of the facet joints.
Soft tissue injuries such as herniated disc and nerve root impingement are best seen with advanced imaging modalities, such as computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and myelography.

Ayurveda Management

Pain, tingling sensation, numbness, stiffness of the spine are major symptoms of Lumbar spondylosis which is predominantly due to vitiated Vatha dosha. According to Ayurveda, Lumbar Spondylosis can be correlated to Kati Vata (one of the Sandhigata Vata) and back pain to Kati shula or Prishta shula or Kati graha or Trika shulaor Trika graha.
Treatment in Ayurveda for Lumbar spondylosis is to bring the vitiated ‘Vata dosha‘ back to the state of equilibrium and thereby to the state of health.
The treatment modalities for treating this condition include Panchakarma & Rejuvenation therapies, internal medications, diet and life style changes.
